At the Botanic Garden

The West Tennessee Chapter of the Tennessee Urban Forestry Council (WTUFC) announces the first Advanced Urban Forestry Advisor (UFA) Course, Tree Identification. The course will be offered from 9am to 1pm on Thursday, September 10th & Friday, September 11th. Please plan to attend both days. The course fee is $5 for WTUFC members & $20 for non-members with a maximum of 20 attendees. The course is composed of both field work and class time so please dress appropriately and bring water and snacks. A tree identification book will be available to use during the course but feel free to bring your own. Speakers include Eric Bridges from the Overton Park Conservancy, Wes Hopper—Certified Arborist, Shawn Posey from the TN Division of Forestry, Joellen Dimond, UT Extension horticulturist, and Richard Beckwith, retired City of Memphis horticulturist.
