National Geographic tourism website

Wednesday, March 11, 2015 - 3:15pm

National Geographic is doing a geo-tourism website for the Mississippi River and all tourist places along it!  They have done this for about 20 locations around the world and get 40,000 unique visitors a month on each website.  This is a big deal and will be great for the region because it ties their global brand with our cool local places!

You can go to the website, go to the bottom right and there is a button where you can “Nominate a Place”.  Then enter text and pictures and submit and they will review it and upload it.  Once you fill it out, if the place is actually run by another entity they will transfer it over to another person to maintain in the future.
