Picking it up on the Ghost! Wolf River Clean-up Trip, Saturday, July 14

"There's nothing quite like a trip on the Ghost River section of the Wolf River. However, if there is anything that can ruin the experience, it's seeing litter floating along on this amazing river section.

Let's unite together and pick it up for our river, shall we?

On Saturday, July 14th, we'll work with WRC volunteers and our essential partner, the Bluff City Canoe Club's volunteers, to clean-up the Ghost River Section of the Wolf, from La Grange, TN to Bateman Road. We'll meet up at 9:00 AM at the La Grange Bridge.

In the past, this river section hasn't suffered from litterers, but during the past two years, someone, perhaps a honkey-tonk or juke-joint owner, is dumping trash off the La Grange Bridge, with beer, wine and whiskey bottles, cans and other trash.

We'd appreciate your help in cleaning the river up. It does, however, require experience, canoe handling skills and hard word to maneuver boats under limbs, onto the banks and getting in/out of boats on this 8.5 mile river section.

However, the Wolf should be lower and warming on this mid-summer day, so we can relax, soak in the river and tells stories while we take out of the trash!

For more details on this trip, including canoe and kayak rental information, please visit our website.

Please register now for this upcoming clean-up trip. Registration ends this Thursday, July 12!

Be sure to look at and register for other upcoming fun events!"
