Livable Memphis has been sponsoring an interesting series of meetings called “Pizza With Planners” where people in the public sector heading up important projects explain to the public what they are doing.

It’s always eye-opening and interesting, in keeping with all of Livable Memphis’ programs.

The next installment will be on July 31 at 5:30 p.m. at  Benjamin Hooks Central Library, 3030 Poplar.  The subject is “complete streets,” which describes an approach to transportation planning that doesn’t just emphasize cars, but walking, biking, and public transit.

Livable Memphis is helping guide the development of a Complete Streets Policy for Memphis and Shelby County.
