Register for the Neighborhood Leaders Conference!The MLGW Neighborhood Leaders Conference is scheduled for Friday, August 3, 2012 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the MLGW Training Center (4949 Raleigh-LaGrange at Covington Pike). The conference is an annual event coordinated by MLGW designed to provide training and networking opportunities for grassroots community leaders.

This year's theme, is "It's Easy Being Green" and features topics such as Weeding Neighborhoods of Crime and Blight; What's New in Code Enforcement; Water-wise Landscaping; Advanced Recycling; and Smart Grid. The featured luncheon speaker is Paul Young, Administrator of the Memphis and Shelby County Office of Sustainability.

Registration is $5 and includes a continental breakfast, buffet lunch, conference materials and choice of workshops. Individuals can register online by clicking here. http://www.mlgw.com/news/news_neighborhoodleaders2012
